Hello family and friends!
Well this week has flown by! Okay so the blessing of being on a mission is right when you need a boost, Heavenly Father opens up the way and gives you that boost. We were very privileged to have a mission wide conference and hear from Elder D. Todd Christofferson, a member of the Quorum of the 12 apostles. That was one of the most revelatory experiences Ive ever experienced. He opened the meeting up to more of a Q&A. And we just got to embrace the moment and listen to what Heavenly Father wanted us to know. I now know more of what Heavenly Father expects of me.
Also, the picture is at the Boone Hall Plantation, the place where the movie The Notebook was taken. It was Ali's summer house. Way cool to see :)
So on the spiritual side of my week. I pray harder and harder with every passing week. So this biggest experience and biggest heartbreak and biggest thing right now is a woman named Winter. She was a lead that we went to meet. We had the most perfect, ideal lesson that was so spiritual and she wanted to be baptized and I cant describe to you the rest. So perfect, golden, prepared investigator looking for truth. Set a date and another appointment. Not even 5 hours later did she text us and tell us her husband doesnt want her to take the lessons. She expressed her concerns and how she didnt know what to do because she wanted the gospel but she also has an obligation to her husband. We have not seen her since. We have prayed and prayed so hard to her husbands heart to be softened. Really, up until now I had faith things can happen because of the Lord. But now, I know that miracles can happen according to our faith. We havent received any sort of miracle with her yet. But we refuse to give up hope.
Otherwise this week has given me hope. I have a little birdy of a best friend in New York who told me this from a Mormon message. "The greater our sorrow is, the greater our capacity to feel joy". SO TRUE. With that being said I want all of you this week to watch this Mormon message and feel the spirit. Take the time out of your day to grow closer to our Savior. I love you all and pray for you. God Be With You Until We Meet Again.
