Hello dear loved ones!
So this week flew by in the snap of a finger. I can't believe it's already Monday and that I have less than a year until I return. It's crazy to think that I've been out so short of a time but it seems like forever. It's because time flies when you're having fun and when your doing to work of the Lord.
Okay so this week's funny story. We were up in Summerville going to see some leads and I told Sister Laker that we could walk there because I knew which house it was... Right because I totally know where we need to be. Yeah... We got there and I couldn't remember which house it was. Leave it to me to have my dear companion walk a half a mile to tell her we had to go back. Okay now the funny part. On the way back we decided to marvel and the Lords beauty. We were on this bridge with trees and both of us thought it would be way sweet to explore in those woods. We didn't go exploring but we went to the edge of the bridge and looked into the trees and admired the beauty. Mind you, my companion is terrified of spiders. Well we looked over and Spider-Man visited that bridge because our face were next to this huge web. The spider looked legit. Well we go on our merry way and find another huge web with an even bigger spider on it. I had to take a picture of this one right? So I get close to snap one and it totally starts crawling at me. I was done and we left the bridge.
So this week on the spiritual aspect. There's too much to even cover anymore. We had so many lessons. It kills you to see all these people who have dealt with rape, incest and other issues. You try to share the gospel with them and they struggle to think that Heavenly Father cares about His children. But I know that promised blessings await those who have faith and try.
This week we got caught in the biggest rainstorm I've seen but it was worth it because of the lesson we came out of. We received a referral from Salt Lake to see a woman who requested a bible. We were able to meet with her and had such a good meeting and introduced the Book of Mormon and it was great. She told us how she was so excited to read it and couldn't wait until we met next. She texted us that night saying there was no further need to meet because she doesn't believe Joseph Smith was a prophet. My heart was torn. Something I have a testimony so strongly on thrown on the ground by someone else. But it was a moment in time that strengthened even more my testimony that Joseph Smith is indeed a prophet of God. He was called just as Abraham or Moses of old and was given that same authority. I know God is unchanging. He will always have a prophet to lead and guide us in these latter days. I'm so grateful for that knowledge. Joseph Smith is a prophet of the Alpha and Omega. He is prophet of our Master. He is called by God. I know this to be true.
Take the time this week to think of a question you really want to know. And start praying to receive an answer. Then act. I love you all! God Be With You Until We Meet Again

Baptism in Goose Creek !!

Hello everyone!
My this has been a crazy, stressful, joyous, beautiful week! SO MUCH HAS HAPPENED SINCE MY LAST EMAIL. So we had transfers and my new companion is Sister Laker who is from Washington! We get along great! She is very quiet but has a burning testimony. I'm grateful to have yet another companion to serve with here in the city of Goose Creek.
Damien and Aidin got baptized! It was great and Sister Reinhart and I sung. I don't know if I said last week but she got transferred to the YSA branch so we still live in the same apartment just different companionships. But we sung and the whole night was just beautiful. I've been working with these two boys since February and to see them finally get baptized to to still be here to witness it was amazing. They got confirmed yesterday as well and boy was I panicking. They were late to church and I'm sitting on the stand ( because I was conducting the music) praying to see them walk through the doors. And then they come in. Yay! Again such a beautiful weekend.
Then the miracles did not cease! We went to see a former who told us of all the family problems he has faced since we met last. Little to say we put him on date and he's ready to be baptized. We are meeting with him and another investigator tonight. We are so excited and I can hardly contain myself for the things that will be happening over the next month.
I don't even see where all the time is going. It's ridiculous.
Well it's a short email but that pretty much all that's on my mind is that they finally got baptized.
But really quick, if anyone followed my Instagram they would remember last year I did a 100 happy days challenge. Well now I'm doing a 100 days of gratitude. But it's more than just something I'm grateful for. They are soul searching questions of why I'm grateful for certain things. So my invitation to you this week is to pay close attention to how you felt Jesus Christ in your life. Not just "He's everything" while He is but really think of why He is everything.
Because of Him, I Know this gospel is true.

Dearest loved ones,
HAPPY AMERICA DAY!!!!!
In other news, so much has happened this week. I don't even know where
to start so I will start with the fun stuff and get to the spiritual
events in a little bit. So as we are all aware, I love critters. Well
Sister Reinhart and I found this pond that had a plethora of turtles.
Turtles do not like people ( just like every other wild animal.) Well
I may or may not have decided to catch one by reaching into the pond.
I will go on without details but I caught a turtle and I t was another
grumpy old turtle who bit me. Cool experience. Picture to prove it.
In further news, transfers are upon us again! And guess what?! I'm
staying in Goose Creek again! But my sweet companion is leaving!
Kinda. She is getting transferred to the Charleston YSA ward. She will
still live in the same apartment as me (because the current YSA
sisters live with us) and they will be in a three pack. Sister
Reinhart will finish her training with them. I will get a new
companion and will be training once again! It is not normal to have as
many companions as I have so early on in my mission. But, it's
Heavenly Fathers work and if this is how He wants it so be it. It'll
be a very interesting experience and I'm looking forward to it :)
Faith is power. I think I talked a lot on faith last week but it's
true. We have seen it in our mission just in this week alone. We met a
former and have put him on date for the 25 of July. He will be
baptized on that date and the lessons we had with him were miracles of
our work and faith in this area. With faith in our Savior Jesus
Christ, we can do anything.
President Packer has passed away this last week. You know the Lord has
something planned when the two most senior apostles have just passed
away. My heart is constantly with the First Presidency and the Quorum
of the Twelve. I know they are called of God and I testify President
Monson is the Prophet of these days. I'm grateful to have a loving God
to provide us direction in these latter days.
The most spiritual thing that happened this week was when we met with
a man named Dominic. He is older and was born with schizophrenia. We
talked with him and I felt an over powering feeling of how much God
loves this child of His. I, without a sliver of doubt knows God loves
each of His children perfectly. We will never be able to comprehend
the magnitude of His love. The most special part is that His love will
never fail us.
At Damien and Aidins baptism this Saturday Sister Reinhart and I are
singing. I'm so happy they are finally entering the waters of baptism.
It's going to be a splendid Saturday.
I have such a love for the leaders of the church that this week I want
you to take the time (20 minutes) and listen to the last talk that
President Boyd K Packer gave in General Conference. I know he is an
apostle of the Lord. The things he testifies of is truth. Please watch
it. You will feel the spirit :) I love you all and till next week God
Be With You Until We Meet Again.
